Polar Clean was called to dry ice blast the hull of a river boat to remove adherents (barnacles, zebra mussels, river grime etc.) to prepare the hull for inspection and repainting. The boat was placed in dry dock and rested on blocks for blasting, to access areas initially obstructed by the blocks, the boat needed to be floated and the blocks and boat repositioned. Special containment needed to be engineered to prevent removed adherents and other debris from entering the river, either by airborne or waterborne means.
